Toddlin’ to Jesus Classes are at 9:15 AM on Sunday mornings.  Classes are offered for children and parents from age zero through two.  Registration and information is available in the Sunday School Office located across from the bookstore.

Moms with Little Ones Bible Study meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at l0 am in the Parish House
Summertime Topics and Special Bible Topics Scheduled on a seasonal basis.
Vacation Bible School Bible stories, music and crafts highlight this summer ministry to the children of our congregation and community.  It is held each year in the summer.  The VBS staff involves children in community building growth and fun experiences while learning of the love and mercy of God in Christ.
Junior School Confirmation Instruction in God's Word and the basics of Christian faith in life.  
Preparation for confirmation and communicant membership in the Lord's church is a basic and integral part of our Christian education program at Our Savior.
Fifth and sixth graders learn God's plan of salvation through a study of the Bible stories in the Old and New Testaments.
Seventh and eighth graders concentrate on reading and applying the Bible to their lives under the great Bible themes of Law and Gospel.  The major topics of study include the Ten Commandments, The Apostles' Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism, The Keys and Confession, and The Lord's Supper.
Classes are held weekly in our school and in our Tuesday evening (6:00 PM) sessions, September through April.  Confirmation Day is observed on the first Sunday in May.

Adult Confirmation A series of classes is offered two or three times each year for adults who are interested in becoming members of the Lutheran church and of Our Savior congregation.  Classes are usually taught by the Pastor.  They cover the basic teaching of the Christian faith which leads to life and eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.  Please contact the church office for dates and times.
Christian Day School Our Savior congregation has operated a Lutheran school for over three decades.  In recent years, the school enrollment has grown as the school has expanded its programs and increased its quality.  Fully accredited and staffed by an outstanding faculty, OSLS provides a Christ-centered education for children of the congregation and the community in preschool through grade eight.  In addition to the basic academics, OSLS offers many other programs such as interscholastic athletics, band and choir programs, a hot lunch program, regular testing and evaluations, specialized instruction for learning disabilities, a nurse/health program, and an Extended School Care program for all students.  Email the school office here, or call (636) 343-7511.




AAL (Aid Association for Lutherans) This service branch, sponsored by  AAL insurance, coordinates social and fraternal benefit programs and activities for the congregation and community.  Open to all AAL policyholders.
Adult Fellowship Group A fellowship organization which sponsors social activities on a monthly basis.  Open to all adult members.
Assimilation Committee This standing committee, organized under the Board of Evangelism, assists new members in becoming a part of the family at Our Savior.  This is achieved by interviewing new members, writing articles about them in the Vision, two (2) New Member Potluck Luncheons per year, and a sponsoring program, whereby current members walk along side new members, encouraging the new members in worship attendance, Bible class and Sunday School attendance, and in actively becoming involved by serving on one of our boards, committees, and/or joining one of our service groups.  Open to all members.
Book Store A self-supporting facility to provide Christian books and other items to members.  Open on Sunday mornings and other worship times (midweek during Lent and Advent).
Caring and Sharing A group that provides food and support for members' families when a death occurs in the family.  Open to all members.
Food Pantry A service ministry that collects nonperishable food and other household items to be provided to needy families in the congregation and community.
Greeters A service ministry that greets worshippers before and after the services.
J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) A fellowship group for the older adults of Our Savior.
Ladies Day Circle One of the fellowship and service organizations open to the ladies of the congregation.  The group carries out various mission and service projects for the church including the Caring and Sharing and the Adopt-A-Confirmand Programs.  Meets the second Thursday of each month at 9:30 AM in the Parish House.  Open to all ladies of the congregation.
Ladies Guild Another of the fellowship and service organizations open to the ladies of the congregation.  This group also carries out various mission and service projects for the church.  Meets the first Tuesday of every month ad 7:30 PM in the Parish House.  Open to all ladies of the congregation.
 LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) Ladies organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod open to all ladies of the congregation.  The Ladies Day Circle and the Ladies Guild are affiliates of the LWML.
Men's Club A fellowship and service organization for men that sponsors the annual Sausage Dinner and BBQ in addition to other activities.  Meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM in the church basement.
Musical Worship
Adult Choir Thursdays at 7:00 PM.  Sings at worship services and enhances the musical portion of festival and holiday services.  All members who enjoy singing the praises of our Lord are encouraged to join.
Girls Youth Choir Grade six through high school girls sing the songs of faith and God's love.  This group sings for worship and for special occasions.
KOOS (Kids of Our Savior) Singers Children's choir sings at worship services and special services in demonstrating God's love through their voices.  Children of the Day School and Sunday School are encouraged to add their voices.
KOOS (Kids of Our Savior) Ringers Bell choir which adds to the musical worship of our Lord through the joyful sound of hand bells.

Nursery The nursery/cry room is located on the main floor next to the narthex.  Parents are welcome to take their infants or toddlers to the cry room as needed
Prayer Chain Members who are committed to offering personal prayers fro the needs of church members and others.  Open to all members of the congregation.
PTL (Parent Teacher League) The PTL gives school parents and teachers a chance to gather for important purposes:  1) To learn more about effective parenting and how to work with the school for the child's benefit, and 2) To plan special events and projects to enhance the school's program.
Ushers Assist with the ushering of seating and communication , collection of offerings, distribution of worship bulletins and other authorized material recording or church attendance and straightening the sanctuary and narthex after services.  Term of office is two years.
Youth Group Our Savior Lutheran Youth Group is an organization designed for planned activities and spiritual growth for youth in the junior high and senior high level.  The two levels each plan their separate activities.  Along with the weekly Bible classes and biweekly Bible studies, both groups are invited to attend youth nights held in the youth room of the Parish House.  Other activities are planned throughout the year and fund-raising is an important aspect of providing money for those activities.  The National Youth Gatherings, which are held every three years are some of the events which help the groups grow together.
Community Services AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) - Meets each Thursday at 7:30 PM in the church basement




President Presides at Congregational meetings.  To the best of his ability, carries out the resolutions of the voting membership and is welcome at all board, committee, auxiliary and group meeting.  He represents the congregation in all business and legal matters.  Must be a male voting member of the congregation.  Term of office is one year.
Vice-President Assists the President in the performance of his duties.  In absence of President, assumes his duties.  Presides at Church Council meetings.  Must be a male voting member of the congregation.  Term of office is one year.
Secretary Keeps minutes of Congregational Meeting and Church Council meetings.  Keep record of all standing resolutions and retain contracts and legal documents of the congregational.  Keep membership list of Congregational Meeting and record attendance at each meeting.  Conducts correspondence of the congregation.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is one year..  
Financial Secretary Receives all contributions made to the congregation.  Insures that an accurate account of all receipts is kept showing the source and purpose in a permanent record.  Deposits all monies in the appropriate financial institution and provides a monthly and annual report at the Congregational Meeting.  Provides a report on each week's contributions to the Treasurer and other designated officers.  Supervises and coordinates duties of the counters.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is one year.
Congregational Treasurer Disburses monies of the congregation by authority of the Voting Membership and keeps accurate records of disbursements.  Provides a report at the Congregational Meeting at each regular meeting and an annual report at the end of each fiscal year.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is one year.
Assistant Treasurer Disburses payroll checks and maintains accurate tax and other records related to payroll of called and contract employees of the congregation.  Reports to the Treasurer.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.
Sunday School Superintendent Coordinates the activities of the Sunday School including the ordering of appropriate materials, assuring that qualified teachers and helpers are serving, and in cooperation with the teachers, planning the Sunday School programs and mission projects.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is one year.
Educational Treasurer Responsible for the receipt, accounting and disbursement of all monies received by the Day School and Sunday School.  Reports at the Congregational Meeting at all regular meetings and at the close of the fiscal year.  Must be a communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is one year.




Board of Elders Responsible for the spiritual well being of the congregation including proper conduct of all services and activities of the congregation.  With the pastor, cultivates spiritual growth, peace, harmony and love among the members.  All elders are elected by the Voting Membership.  Must be a male communicant member at least 18 years old.  Term of office is two years.
Board of Education The board is responsible for Christian nurture within the congregation.  It oversees the Christian Day School and part time agencies such as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  Term of office for the chairperson is two years.
Board of Evangelism Responsible for promoting outreach ministries and encouraging congregational members to strive to fulfill Christ's Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)(Acts 1:8).  Congregational members are encouraged to actively share the Gospel message with others, invite the unchurched to Our Savior, and be a witness wherever God leads them.  Some of the activities sponsored by the Board of Evangelism include distribution of tracts, the annual Outdoor Worship and Picnic, Bible classes, front porch visits to new move-ins, calls on visitors, and other calls as opportunities arise.  Term of office for chairperson is two years.
Board of Finance Responsible for recording all contributions to the congregation and keeping a record of each individual or families contributions.  Issues statements of contributions to members on a regular basis and prepares and distributes offering envelopes to members.  Coordinates with Financial Secretary in the training and supervision of counters who count and record service offerings.  Term of office for chairperson is two years.
Board of Parish Fellowship Responsible for strengthening the spiritual and social fellowship between congregational members, the integration of new members into the life of the congregation and the general upholding of mutual cooperation, trust and enjoyment among the members of the congregation.
Board of Stewards Responsible for encouraging members in the area of Time, Talents, and Treasures.  Through a Gospel-centered message of God's love for us in Jesus Christ, congregational members are encouraged to see all that they have as a gift from God, and that they are God's stewards of each of those gifts here on earth.  Congregational members are further encouraged to return a portion of those gifts of time, talents, and treasures back to God through His church, by offerings of Service and Assets.  Term of office for the chairperson is two years.
Board of Trustees Responsible for encouraging and recruiting congregational members to maintain the church and school properties, which the Lord has entrusted to our care.  This includes providing adequate insurance, making sure the appropriate repairs and improvements are taken care of, and insuring that the facilities are kept clean and neat, inside and out.  Term of office for the chairperson is two years.
Board of Youth Responsible for involving the youth of the congregation in the work of Christ, provide for their spiritual growth and nurture, and promote genuine Christian fellowship for the young people of the congregation.
Church Council Consists of the elected officers and board chairpersons.  Serves as a coordinating committee and planning committee of the congregation.
Congregational Assembly Meetings Are held on the third Tuesday of odd numbered months or by special resolution of the congregation.  All members of the congregation are welcome at these meetings.  The Voting Members, which consist of communicate members who by their personal request have read and signed the Constitution and Bylaws of the congregation, have authority to administer and manage the affairs of the congregation and to approve and supervise the various boards and organizations of the congregation.
